The Attic Zoological Park (AZP) started operating in 2000 as a ornithological with 1,100 birds of 300 different species. Later it was expanded and there are other wards such as The Reptile World, Greek Fauna, African Savannah and Desert Land.
In 2016 the Indian elephants, the Sumatra tigers and the Persian leopard arrived in the park. It is one of the largest zoos in Greece and a member of EAZA.
Animals The Attic Zoological Park hosts rare animal species such as Sumatra tigers, Angola lions, Cocar, Persian leopards, Macao parrots, Zebras, Giraffes, Bactrian camels, African penguins, Canyon, Exotic and rare birds, Indian elephants, white rhinos, white oaks, many lizards, snakes and crocodiles, and many but rare, exotic and non-animal species.
